I was lucky enough to grow up in the seaside town of Esperance and have the best beaches in the world at my doorstep.
I’ve moved around WA a little bit, to the big smoke to study, FIFO to Newman, back to Esperance, to Albany to marry my love, Neill and like a little boomerang, back to Esperance to settle in to Motherhood.
In 2020, I became a Mum and have thoroughly enjoyed dedicating 2021 to pouring my heart into my family. In 2022 I am easing back into work outside the home, starting with consulting both online and at my beloved Bradshaws Pharmacy in Esperance.
My aim, when I left my country roots to study the Bachelor of Health Science in the big smoke, was always to come back home and share my knowledge. I wanted to be part of making my community a healthier one, I felt the need to help people to feel empowered enough to take responsibility of their own health.
There are a few things that shape the way I live my life and practice as a naturopath & nutritionist.
I’m a farmer’s daughter, which I think is where my pragmatic approach to my work comes from.
I aim to be a conscious consumer, not just because I see the mammoth effect that is needed for food production, but because we only have one body to live in and one planet to live on.
I love a short mac in the morning, a chardonnay in the evening and much to my own detriment, firmly believe that life is too short for terrible tasting food.
Seeking, applying and sharing evidenced-based health information, that integrates complementary and conventional medicine.
Choosing to consume in a way that is kind to people and the planet. Creating wellness strategies that are sustainable for long term health.
Listening intently with compassion and empathy. To empower others with knowledge and actively build a healthier community.
Be real, enjoy the finer things in life and be honest about it. Make being healthy, simple, creative and most of all, enjoyable.
